General features:
Also known as periapical cyst
Most common cyst of jaw
30 - 50 years
Painless
Periapical inflammatory lesion secondary to pulpal necrosis in tooth
Imaging:
Round, unilocular, lucent lesions in periapical region with thin rim of cortical bone
Associated tooth has deep restoration or large carious lesion
May displace adjacent teeth or mild root resorption
Management:
Enucleation and may be retrograde surgical endodontic treatment or toothe extraction of tooth or root fragment
