Sialadenitis

Most common cause is mumps
Bacterial sialoadenitis is commonly due to Staph aureus

Imaging:
Us shows enlarged heterogeneous gland with hypoechoic foci and increased blood flow
CT shows enlarged gland with diffuse enhancement; may show abscess
MR shows enlarged gland which is low on T1 and high on T2

Management:
Antibiotics and surgical drainage if abscess.
