Odontogenic myxoma

General features:
Uncommon benign lesion (5%)
From mesenchymal odontogenic tissue
Locally aggressive causing destruction of adjacent bone and soft-tissue infiltration
Associated with congenitally missing or unerupted teeth

Location:
More common in maxilla

Clinical presentation:
10–30 year

Imaging:
Lytic, multilocular (honeycomblike), expansile lesion with ill-defined borders and foci of irregular calcification
Scallop between roots of adjacent teeth with displcaement or resorption of the teeth

Differential diagnosis:
Malignancy
Traumatic bone cyst
Central giant cell granuloma
Other odontogenic tumors
Calcifying epithelial odontogenic tumor - more heavily calcified
