Central giant cell granuloma

Common lesion
Present in adolescents and young adults (75% less than 30 years)
Common in mandible
Common anterior to 1st molar

Clinical features:
Painless swelling
May be tender

Imaging:
Bone expansion
Teeth displacement
Usually unilocular well defined lucency
May be multilocular
May cross midline, especially in maxilla
Resorption of lamina dura and roots may occur

Management:
Enucleation and curratage
Recurrence uncommon
